Dr. Jorgensen is very proud of his orthodontic team. Each member is carefully selected to ensure that their skill and dedication reflect our high standard of care. They each have valuable experience and participate regularly in continuing education courses and seminars.
In addition to paying careful attention to technical detail, we also believe in treating patients to a fun and enjoyable orthodontic experience. Orthodontic treatment and its final result are meant to enhance the quality of life of our patients. We take our work very seriously and pride ourselves in being the best part of our patients' day. When it comes to orthodontic treatment, there is no substitute for enthusiastic patient participation. We know that participation goes up when our patients feel comfortable with the staff and doctor.
MARY CARLSON - OFFICE MANAGER
Mary came to us from Minnesota where she and Roger, her husband, raised their three sons. She has been a certified and registered dental assistant for over 30 years. For enjoyment, she loves to vegetable garden, read and cheer on the Vikings.
KAREN MARES - TREATMENT COORDINATOR
Karen was born and raised in DeWitt, Iowa. After graduating from college, she relocated to Denver. Karen, her husband, Eloy, and two daughters, Taylor and Ashton, moved to Fort Collins in January 1998. She joined Dr. Jorgensen's team in November 1998. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on her daughters in their various activities, volunteering at school and church and spending time with family and friends. Karen is also a vocalist and performs the "National Anthem" at CSU athletic events.
SHAWNA MAY -DIAGNOSTIC RECORDS/ORTHODONTIC TECHNICIAN
Shawna was born and raised in Idaho. She moved to Colorado in 1991 where she met her husband, Doug. Her two children, Nikki and Stefan, keep her busy outside of work and she also enjoys playing volleyball and softball. Shawna has worked with Dr. Jorgensen since July 2001, starting first as the scheduling coordinator and then making the switch to assistant.
SUZY DEDECKER-ORTHODONTIC TECHNICIAN
Suzy is a Colorado native. She graduated from Front Range Community College dental assisting program in December 2002. She has worked with Dr. Jorgensen since January 2003. Suzy, her husband, David, and their son, Jake, enjoy spending time riding ATVs.
SHANNA DEVINE-SCHEDULING COORDINATOR
Shanna was born in San Diego, CA. Her family had the good fortune of moving around frequently when she was young. She has lived in California, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Arizona and Colorado.
Shanna has been in the Orthodontic and Dentistry fields for the past 11 years. She has held various positions in her professional career, including clinical assistant, treatment coordinator, records technician and now scheduling coordinator. As a matter of fact, this is the second time Shanna has worked for Dr. J. She worked here from 1998 to 2003 and came back to us in March 2006.
Shanna’s favorite recreational activity is SHOPPING!! She also loves reading, hiking and bike riding.
TAMMY WOHLMAN-ORTHODONTIC TECHNICIAN
Tammy is a native of Loveland, Colorado. She continues to reside there with her three children, Jesse, Job and Selena. They also have one dog named Abby.
After graduating from high school, Tammy attended cosmetology school but later decided to be a stay-at-home mom and raise her kids.
She attended Dental Assistant Training Academy and graduated in May 2005. Tammy enjoys spending as much time as possible with her kids.
She also enjoys being outside doing yard work, camping with her family, beading, photography and scrap booking with her Mom.
