Financial Options
It is our mission to provide you with affordable, high quality treatment that fits your family's budget. We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. For the convenience of our patients, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover, as well as offering no interest and third party financing options. We will thoroughly explain your options at the initial exam and work diligently to accommodate your needs.
Insurance
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for services. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.
How does orthodontic insurance work?
There are many different agreements between insurance carriers and their subscribers and each contract provides a different benefit. Orthodontic coverage is generally a benefit offered as a rider on your dental insurance plan. However, orthodontic insurance differs from regular dental insurance in that each insured individual usually has a lifetime maximum benefit for orthodontic services as opposed to a yearly maximum. The benefit is paid as a percentage of the orthodontic fee (diagnostic records, initial fee, monthly payments, etc.) until the benefit maximum has been reached.
How does the office assist you with insurance?
For your convenience, we will verify insurance benefits prior to the start of the treatment. In addition, we will file insurance claims pertaining to charges for the care rendered in our office, and accept assignment of the insurance benefit paid. However, please be aware that our primary financial responsibility is with our patients or their families and not with their respective insurance companies. Final responsibility for collection of benefits from your insurance company rests with the insured party. Our professional services are rendered and charged directly to our patients or parents/guardians, and they are responsible for payment of all fees incurred.
Guidelines to be followed:
Bring your insurance card to the initial consultation.
Know benefits are before treatment starts. If you are not sure, contact your insurance company so that you will know exactly what your benefit is and how it is going to be paid.
In the event that your insurance coverage changes or is terminated, it is your financial responsibility to provide the correct insurance information to the office. Unpaid insurance balances are the direct responsibility of the guarantor on the account and will be electronically drafted from the account of choice.
